To complement the Strategic Plan and our commitment to improving the quality of services offered, the hospital is participating in the Accreditation Scheme co-ordinated by the Irish Health Services Accreditation Board.  On successful completion of our first peer review survey in October 2005, the Rotunda became the second hospital in the country and the first maternity hospital in Ireland to be accredited through the scheme.  The award recognises the Rotunda as a centre of excellence in patient care.
