Quality Improvement Plan for Compliance with the National Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections
The Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) undertook an unannounced monitoring assessment in The Rotunda Hospital for the National Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections on June 25th 2015. The report identified a number of opportunities for improvement.
The Quality Improvement Plan - Oct 2015 has been developed, which prioritises the improvements necessary to comply with the National Standards. The plan was developed by the key stakeholders and has been reviewed and approved by the Master. Progress with implementing this plan will be overseen by the Infection Prevention and Control Committee.
The Rotunda Hospital regards the prevention and control of healthcare associated infections as a serious issue for the Hospital in maintaining and delivering high quality and safe healthcare to all its patients and babies.
